Hi all,

I'm a newbie looking at 3 potential road bikes and trying to weigh which will be the best deal. Any experience you have with any of these bikes, or opinions of them, would be greatly appreciated. I have to buy used, as that's all the budget can take right now...but I'm still trying to get a good entry-level bike.

Each of these are $300; which is the best value?

Option 1: A Specialized Allez Sport from 2000, very little use. Full Shimano RSX group with compact double crank & integrated brake/shift levers & CR-MO double butted frame. Brand new high-quality 23mm tires & new bar tape.

Option 2: A Schwinn Fast Back Pro from 2000. It is all 105's.

Option 3: A Giant Kronos 21 speed. It comes with a Trek computer. I don't know the exact specs yet (going to see it tomorrow). "Like new" condition with a recent safety check/tuneup.

Thanks for any and all advice! I'm leaning toward the Specialized, but I hadn't looked at any Schwinns at all until this one came along. Not sure what to do, really.
