There's a pork chop in every can. Your body recognizes a calorie in nearly any form, and latches on to it for later use. Alcohol is a simple sugar and is readily captured. So is a lot of the other good stuff in beer. I like Perrier, nicely fizzy and comes in a green bottle, like good beer!
