And might be better off buying last years model at a LBS unless you feel comfortable tuning the oh so precise decade old components.
I've seen good used bikes on Craigslist here in the Sacramento area for $400-$500. Granted, they are few and far between, but they are out there. I bought a good used Lemond Poprad for $450.00.
