I'm looking for a bike to move my 10 yr old into now that he's outgrown his mart 20". I've seen a few threads indicating at this age, they can go to either a small framed 26" or a 24". Just wondering what the benefits are of one over the other. I assume he would grow out of a small 26" as easily as a 24".

My guess was that the 26" might be faster and may have higher quality components, and maybe some higher residual value, but thought I'd see for sure.
