1988 Trek 400, red, Excellent condition. paint has 1 chip on underside of top tube. Found at a garage sale for $20. I've taken it completely down and re-lubed the entire set of mechanisms except the bottom bracket. It's in the shop now for a few tasks I didn't have the tools for and I get it back Thursday. Sadly, the wheels will have to be replaced if I intend to keep it for any length of time. Mechanic at the bike shop says it;s a very low mileage bike. Previous owner confirms it was garage kept its entire life and has spent most days collecting dust.
The size is right and in a few days, this little darling is finally going to get a chance to take to the road.
