Can't any behavior be contagious amongst a social group?

This seems like its common sense to me... but that first sentence is what
jerked me "People who notice their friend packing on pounds might want to steer clear if they value their sleek physiques."

How about being thier workout buddy? or mentioning it to them?

I'm sure its said as a segway to the article but still... lol
