I see the same thing because my start time at work varies. If I ride in at 9, it's mostly a breeze with a sprinkling of really impatient people running late. If I ride in at 8, it's the standard everyone-pushing-and-shoving. If I ride in at 7, I deal with a lot of double-parked trucks finishing up deliveries. Six of one, half dozen of the other, I guess.
