If you are looking for a bike STOCK under 1000$ where the components will hold up to your weight, I will quite honestly tell you to give up. Parts on sub 1000$ bigboy hardtails are generally crap. Say this 5 times fast

"I will break parts no matter which bike I get. "

Usually if a disc brake messes up its rider error. ...for longevity I would worry about the frame breaking. Everything else is little things. (really...)
