Yep. I had mine built up by a local track specific shop here using the stuff off my conversion. They used that setup as reference points, and got it mostly right. Problem is, they may have cut the steerer tube and set the stem just a bit too low for me (even with a couple spacers) and there's nothing left of the tube to raise..... Might have to get a stem with a bit of rise. Lesson: don't have the steerer tube cut until you get the fit you want!!!
Too true. I had mine cut (about an hour ago) so that there would be 40mm of spacers and it would give me just short of 2" of drop to the top of the bars with the stem up. I think I will go lower than this but certainly don't need to go higher so I can flip the stem and then move spacers from the bottom to the top if needed to get the fit right.
