Nice bike, nice paint job. There are a lot of low mileage tandems if you look hard and are patient.

My Co-Motion doesn't need a Thudbuster, I got the Cappuccino model with softride beam for the stoker. While the beam is not ideal for an inexperienced rider at a high cadence, our tandem rides are leisurely and low cadence.
