Since I'm often the wrench for the neghborhood kids, I've seen numerous shreaded rear hubs on Christmas Wallybikes. Sometimes it comes from poor maintenance or assembly, and sometimes the things just start falling apart. Sad thing is when they fall apart the bike gets parked in the garage until the parents decide to buy another one next Christmas, or decide not to since they beleive the kid didn't take care of the last one.
