From: Take a deep breath, and ask--What would Sheldon do?

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.

Great job, all!

Kurt, am I dreaming, or are there six bikes in that glorious group shot? I only counted five riders? And where was the photo taken?

Bigbossman, those are some great jerseys your spouse and daughter are wearing! But where are the photos of your ride with bikingshearer? I was looking forward to some shots of Fisherman's Wharf (to remind me why I don't want to be a tourist there, hehehe) and Marathon activity.

Bikingshearer, I think that the trail must have been put in after I left the Bay Area (I escaped the heat in 1980). There certainly has been a vast change since I left--I know when I last visited my mother in San Jose there were bike lanes everywhere which did not exist when I was growing up. That great trail which apparently runs from Willow Glen out to Los Gatos did not exist either--I probably would have used that quite a bit had it been available.

As for my rides, I got off work Saturday morning and headed over to the Cedar River Trail. There was a local festival this weekend--Renton River Days--and I narrowly escaped being part of the swarm of walkers/runners later in the morning. I did see the odd spectacle of three motorcycle officers patrolling the CRT (apparently keeping it free of riff raff for the 5k walk/run), and then later encountering a bike officer a little further down the trail. The original plan was to go down to Maple Valley, and then over to Enumclaw for the Highland Games, but Mr. East Hill has kindly given me his cold, and I was not in any shape to continue to Enumclaw. So, I reluctantly turned homeward. On the other hand, I did encounter the 'shameless hussy' with her coterie. I must get a photo of her one day!

Sunday, still hacking and coughing, we restrained ourselves to romping around Lake Youngs reservoir. Final count was seven deer, still no bears .
