Crown swapping
Hey eveyone!
I have a delimma and I need some help. I have a '95 GT Aggressor. Yes, it is old but in good condition due to being in storage for some time, and truthfully it is all I have. Some time ago the shock tubes failed and broke off completely @ the crown. GT had a replacement program out but after calling the manufactorer I was told due to change of ownership GT is no longer honoring replacement of the defective fork.
I have found out that the 1" steering tube fork is a tough find, so my question is is it possible to buy a 1" crown providing I ever found one and use it on a 1 1/8th" fork? I do not mind swapping over to a threadless at all, in fact it is perferred.
Any suggestions will be welcomed!
