You need a new crank arm. If it is the non-drive side arm, you can sometimes order a replacement at a reasonable cost. If it is the drive side, get a new crank. I would not bet my teeth on JB weld. Your tolerance for risk may be higher.
Sorry, Im not familiar with all of these terms.. I'm not a 'bike guy', just a guy with a bicycle..
The broken side is the right side if that matters. The same side with the gears etc.
