for skate-like helmets, i choose bern. they've got more vents, have models with integrated brims, and have special beanie/earmuffs that fit right into the helmets for winter riding.



otherwise, if you want something more 'conventional' then i'd choose a catlike whisper. good luck finding 'em in the states though.
