Some good ideas here. I don't think I will be able to take the bike to a shop but can figure on a good tuneup costing $80-$100. I want to do things myself (maintenance) but will probably get it road worthy by a shop to make sure all is well before I ride. How do you know if your tires are good? I know rot comes into play but don't know what to look for. Do you just look at the sidewalls for cracks?
