Honestly the cree lights in strobe are a little much, way too bright for using that way.. You could run them in sos mode which is a gentler flashing action.. I would also recomend the princeton tec eos.. This is a 1 watt luxeon star, they have a bike kit that comes with bar and helmet mount.. I used this for quite some time before switching to a fenix p2d for my helmet light.. You could use a 1 watt luxeon all day in flashing mode without causing drivers distress like you would with the cree in strobe mode..
