Mine has been in the 49-51 range for years, hasn't changed with age. My latest was 49 so that's what I voted. I've always been just an average cyclist but was a good distance runner years ago in college. I don't think a high HCT helps much unless you're also training a lot.
It is interesting because the UCI/WADA makes such a big deal about it not being above 50 but it seems like the benefit of a high hematocrit may not be so simple. I think there's more to it than just gauging by the number. I'll bet there are plenty of cyclists on this forum with significantly lower numbers who can destroy me in a 50-100 mile ride.
