edit: when my old band was on tour in 2000 we stopped for an all-ages show in lovely (*cough*) Thunder Bay. They had this crazy moth thing going on. It was the creepiest thing. Once it got dark out it was something straight out of a movie about the apocalypse.
I remember we drove past a car dealership with the big "stadium lights"... not only was there a huge swarming cloud of moths around every light, but all the cars were absolutely crawling with moths. Our drummer got a really bad case of the heebie jeebies. So, of course when one flies in the window and hits him (no air-conditioning + July = windows down) he FREAKS OUT. We pull over and he jumps out and obviously we take off and drive around the block. He was nearly in tears when we got back to him.
