When I drop to my small ring I give 2 clicks for the front derailleur and also drop 3 rings in my rear cog at the exact same time to keep my cadence the same.
Stop doing that, just shift the front and speed up your cadence.
I bought the Record group so I could have flawless shifting.
Correct setup is more important than a spotless drivetrain!
Take it to an experienced Campy mech.
