I like the Japanese steel frames and I have been watching craigslist, but the trouble is that I need a 54cm frame, which is a really popular size; consequently, they get snapped up in a hurry. An alternative to building from scratch is to replace the components on an older OCR2 I have. I just can't stand the feel of that compact frame after riding my Cannondale for so long.

On another note: I've been looking at used Cannondale frames on eBay, and I noticed a lot have dents in the top tube. Is it unreasonable to refuse one of these frames based on the fact that any dent causes a serious flaw in the structural integrity of those CAAD frames? Can one safely ride a dented CAAD frame?
