You have an integrated headset, but I'm not sure which standard. If it's the Cane Creek standard then your bearings have different angles, one 36*, the other 45*. Check to see if they are not upsy downsy.
Isn't it almost impossible to but the bearings in upside down and still have the headset go together? My bet is the wrong headset is in play here.
