I did it myself. You can only angle them 2 ways, so I figured if it made things worse, I had them angled in the wrong direction

The tricky part was making sure they were under the cleat properly so they didn't interfere with the cleat engaging the pedal. My left leg is 1/2" shorter than my right, so I put a whole bunch of the wedges on that side and had to use longer blots to get the cleat on. It worked perfectly (the wedges come with longer bolts too).
