Today was only the second time someone's yelled at me, “Get off the road!”. The first time was the very first day I commuted by bike.
At lunchtime today, towards the end of a one-hour test ride on a new
Trek Portland, I was stopped at a red light in the heart of downtown and some kid in a ricer who was stopped behind me (and not even turning right on red) yelled it out.
His girlfriend was with him in the car, so I figure chicks must dig it. Lucky for him I was there!
Anyway, I since things worked out so well with commuting by bike after being yelled at the first time, I took it as a good omen. Upon my return to the LBS, I plunked down a deposit on the Portland.
Nice that he helped you decide, huh? And I'm sure she was very impressed with his manly ability to criticize people he
doesn't even know. He sounds like a real catch!
