Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

I'm not familiar with your particular car, but here are couple of common points:

1. The bottom feet take most of the load. It's important for them to rest on something horizontal, usually the bumper or license plate well.
2. The straps have to be routed by the shortest route to whatever they're connected to. If they are angled even a little, they'll loosen up as you drive.
