Need help with shifting rear wheel

Hello!

I've noticed that my rear wheel gets off-centered (brakes push it to side) after a long ride. If I loosen the wheel and pull it back and up on the stays, then re-lock the QR, the wheel is perfectly centered again and the brakes no longer push it to one side. The quick-release is very tight (and I'm not a weakling) so I can't imagine it can get any tighter. But somehow the bumps along the ride knock the wheel out of whack. Any ideas or suggestions? Could hard braking push the wheel off-center even though light braking doesn't?

Thanks!
Tai
