Finished Univega Restoration
Okay, so I didn't use classic parts for my restoration, I just used shiny stuff I had lying around my parts bin. My total investment so far is $60 and it is my most comfortable/fun bike to ride. I would also like to pat myself on the back for successfully putting a geared bike back together. I have built many bmx and single speeds but this is my first geared road bike. Two things bother me: the front fork is for a 27 inch wheel so my front brake is disconnected and it the rear dropouts don't have a mount for my rack so I can't use it for commuting, which was the whole reason I wanted it!!! I can't believe I noticed that after I was completely done! Anyway, hope you like what I have done with it.
