My ATACs are Stan's (of Stan's NoTubes fame) special titanium version with the ti springs and spindle. I got the whole thing pre-converted instead of doing the conversion myself. However he does sell the conversion kit and says on his webpage:

The bearings are a little difficult to remove from your old axles without damaging the seals but if you follow the instructions, you should be ok. We suggest you purchase our bearing removal kit to aid in your bearing removal.

You need to be careful with the washers and seals they are not readily available.
He also sells a bearing removal kit which is described as:

Bearing removal kit, which consists of two blocks of hardwood, with holes cut in them, which will allow you to press your existing bearings and seals off and on with little or no damage. (Not too fancy, but works real well) Price $5.00
From what I understand, you should be able to just clamp the bearings and tap the spindle out.
