Not to burst your bubble, but the Shimano 600 components won't take it to $800. If you could rouse up the original (I assume) Campagnolo components that were there, you might be able to get closer to that figure (but still, a few hundred away from it).

Thanks for the info.

My brother was killed in a car wreck in 96 so the bike is worth a lot more to me personally. I'll own it til my last breath.
