About 10 days ago I picked up the wheels I had built for my Schwinn Super Sport that Dr. Deltron is painting. They are beautiful! High polish boxed rims with 36 eyelet holes. Sun/Rigel CR18. So today, I had some time so I planned to mount the 27 X 1 IRC Triatholons (black wall). Only to discover the rims are 700c. Called the LBS right away, and talk about embarrassed. The service manager doesn't know how it happened. They will take care of everything--- but the bad news, the 27" CR18s are back ordered until mid-October. On Monday I can try to order them through Harris, but I wonder if they will run into the same problem? (LBS orders through QBC)

So, has any one run 700c wheels on a Super Sport? The distance to the brake bridge and the bottom of the fork crown is spaced for fenders. Before I shipped the frame to CA I tried several short reach calipers but with no luck. I doubt that even the Weinman 750s would reach to a 700c. But I can't check. Your help is so greatly appreciated!
