I have the same iPod...... I guess I'm way underusing it.

RedRider, would you mind telling me about the conversion program on your laptop? Hubby has many old LPs and has a desire to do the same.
I have a small piece of hardware (a pre-amp, I assume) that allows me to plug my turntable and cassette deck into my computer. It was about $70 from DAK. It works great. Software is downloaded and includes a "depopper and dehisser" and an equalizer. It makes great digital music from your old analog stuff. I, too, have 400+ LPs and and as many cassettes, many of which I have converted.
