I put vasoline on the stuff that didn't need paint. Such as in the seat post and in the water bottle screws. I rubbed it off and everything went together like a dream. I sanded off the original paint in two days of very intense sanding. It was a real pain to get off. I did only use sandpaper. I would have tried some strippers but I did not have the ventilation.



Well I moved every thing in my apartment and made a little spray area. I used the plastic to cover floors for painting walls to make the area. I had one big fan in the window to give me ventilation. the only dust problems I had was from sanding with the steel wool. But it still was a very minimal problem.

Nice paint job!

Should have gone for the strippers, seeing as your girl was out of town....
