That profile looks like a real bugger. That's quite an accomplishment.
I've found your statement to be true for the mountains in our area. Though they are not of the magnitude in the profile, I've found that I can do some fairly long climbs by keeping a sane, steady pace.
You have, however, left something out. What about the descent? Looks like it should have been fun.
