The beauty of Al alloy nipples
I've been playing a lot of polo this last year. I used to cuss about the short life of aluminum alloy spoke nipples because I always had to repair my wheels. But it sure beats replacing whole spokes when you (or an opposing player) bash your spokes with a 700gm mallet and something pops. I've replaced 4 nipples recently, and no spokes. It's a beautiful thing (and cheaper).
