Is a basket that big on the rear rack dumb? Will putting any amount of weight in it make my bike shake?
You can count me in as a dummy who appreciates the ease and convenience of a simple, cheap and efficient rear steel basket. I have one on all my bikes; all were bought in Germany over 8 years ago and have been used whenever I ride; none of the bikes shake. The basket pictured with the 30 pack is approx. W 19¼" x L 12" x H 5½ (in front) - 6" (in rear). zip ties secure the basket, bungeee cords secure the load if necessary. Cost in Germany was about $10.
