While we are no longer 'hammerheads', in our previous decades of riding TWOgether, stoker Kay several times surprised me.
Used to have a German friend that had no use for female cyclist . . . but he made it a habit to suck our wheel when he could. One time Kay spotted Hans and said 'no racing Hans' . . . again he sucked our wheel and on the next downhill he passed us a-grinning . . . she said 'git him!' and off we went. Passed him and made sure he did not latch on to our wheel.
Another time he wanted to know how many miles we had ridden in the past year . . . Kay told him, and his reply was 'Yes, but your ride tandem'.
Is she not pedaling back there?
