I didn't want to start my own thread about this.
Here goes. I started racing last year and upgraded to cat4 in the spring. I have been riding for a long time, but only racing for about a year and a few months. In a few of the category 3/4 races my butt has brushed people's handlebars (or their handlebars have brushed against my butt, depending on how you see it). My recollection is that it usually happens in a corner or when I'm passing other riders.
What's interesting about this is that even though I have a regular sized butt --

-- my rear end is where the contact occurs. This happened at a race yesterday coming through a turn. I felt bad about it. I don't think I'm a wild thrasher on the bike nor do riders tell me to watch my line.
Is it because I'm a small (5' 6) guy that this is more likely to happen? Or is it the other guy's fault? Is there some technique I can use to minimize the chance of this happening??
ps. I also race at the track, and it's never happened there.
