I understand those special cleats use the Look pattern. I have some school Diadora shoes (cheap from Nashbar) with slots that fit over the rear pedal edge - those work well.
robtown, you couldn't help me out with a link to those shoes, could you? I've always used clips, and when I used to ride a lot I had some 80's road shoes. Now that I'm starting up again, these new shoes kind of bug me. I got some SPD pedals and cleats with a bike I got, and so I thought I'd set up a bike with them, but the shoes are so hot and heavy and bulky that they just kind of bug me.

I wouldn't mind getting a pair of old school ones for these pedals.... they might end up being all I'll wear...
