Once I put a bead of glue on the tire can the tire be folded up on itself for strapping to my rear bottle cage? Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thanks!
Do you have a spare rim to glue this tire to first? As this will spread the glue on the tire to a thin film. After a few days/week remove this tire and fold as suggested by cslone.
The glue will remain tacky and will hold the tire on well enough if you have the need to swap it during the race. Just take any corners a little easier than you normally do...
A tip I use is to leave a short section of the tire without glue (I do this where the tires logo is) and work on this section first when trying to pull off the flatted tire.
