I used to think my butt was fairly unpicky when it came to saddles, but that was before the horror that was my new Specialized Toupe Team. The thing almost maimed me for life.
Maybe I need to check my LBS and see what they have in stock, and what they can get. My local Performance only has Performance brand saddles anymore, so no buying and returning if it sucks.

I rented a 2006 Specialized Allez Elite while I was on the island of Hawai'i this week. The bike had some kind of Specialized saddle on it with some theoretically, strategically-placed, gel pads on it. I rode it for three days and my longest ride was 42 miles. It was literally a pain in the butt.
