Keep a few saltines or something very light as well, or a Clif Bar. Sometimes you need a little bit of solid. Exclusive Ghu diet, if you aren't used to it can have explosive results. Shot blocks are also good, or Sports Beans from Jelly Belly.
I'll also be carrying some Glucose tabs in case of a hard bonk.
By the way, those dehydrated banana chips are a good source of potassium and very light weight, as long as you can handle them under exercise conditions.
