two things:
1. i think my boss blocked bikeforums.net, because it won't load on my work computer anymore. a sad, sad day.
2. while we're all trading driver horror stories, here's mine: on my sunday ride, i was riding north on vic park to lawrence. street was totally empty, no cars in either direction. my friend is drafting off me, and we're cranking up a hill when i hear a rev coming from my left. a white k-car roars past (as roaringly as a k-car can roar) and out of the open window i hear the driver screaming something i can't make out. he brakes hard about 50m ahead, turns right into a strip mall with the butt end of his car still on the road. he waits til we're just passing his car, and he screams at me, "learn how to bike you ****ing *****."

we carry on our merry way, and not 100m later, he buzzes us even closer this time, laying on his horn. scared the ****ing **** out of me, and for what? i wasn't even in the middle of the lane. the ways some people spend their beautiful sunday afternoons...
