Since i have never really road a true road bike, since the cross has the same fork and bigger tires and just weighs in at 2.7 pounds more, will the ride be okay.... before carbon alum was the thing right?

plus if I whip out won't the cross survive better, and if i whip out on the team won;t it be more subject.

and if i change out the tires wont it be a nice road bike since I will have already switched the crank out
