Ok I have a Ross Signature 290S that's in great shape but needs a set of rims.
I also have a 1970's Schwinn continental thats in good shape but needs a rear dérailleur.

One must die so the other may live either I throw the 27" rims on the Ross(they should fit after I adjust the brakes) or I rob the dérailleur off the Ross to bring back the Schwinn(I haven't checked to see if this will work yet)

I'm going to be using this bike as my commuter to work and back(9 miles each way). For the entire summer I have been doing this on a full suspension mountain bike so either bike would be an upgrade.

What would you do??? and why
