I tried that a few years ago, PJ, and got no response whatsoever. I know my model year +/- 1 year only because I bought from the original owner, have an unusual factory paint colour (charcoal, which my artist wife tells me resembles "Ralph Lauren brown"), and have spoken with a few Bianchiphiles on vintage bike rides. (The Pat. 80 stamp on my Campag. rear derailleur helps, as well.
