Historically - yes. Specialized makes shoes in China for one reason only their low production costs - not their quality. And since they don't pass the savings on to us why i should buy their shoe and help subsidize sweat shop labor and environmental destruction as well as the suspect quality of Chinese made products. I don't have anything against the Chinese apart from these issues but i'm not paying a premium for something that only Specialized benefits from while i have to carry all the risks of buying the product.
