Im trying to start a club at school too. I know about three guys who ride, and a couple more who want to. I havent really talked to any faculty who would help with a club like that. I think that the club would have to be a joint effort between the three high schools in my city. Between the 3 schools I bet we could get 20+ riders. But the problem is bikes, and lycra. I live in an average income area, so a decent bike would be a huge investment. And I dont know a single kid at my school who would want to be seen in lycra. This is something I want to do, as a way to make it easier for kids to try it out. I bought a road bike without knowing what I was doing, or knowing anybody my age who rode, and I think that a club would make it much easier for somebody who is considering riding a chance to try it out.
