They said it couldn't be done... Peugeot build Part 1

I'm converting and old 1975 Peugeot UO-8 to budget-fixie and the first step was to install a cartirdge Octalink BB to recycle some old parts. The problem was the drive side threads are right handed. All Octalink BB's are Right on the left and Left on the left. So I got an extra Left cup from another BB and took my BB to the lathe. I cut off all the threads to the point that the cup would slide on. Viola! it fits like it was made for it I also took an old seatpost(27.2) and put it on the lathe and turned it to 1 inch, fits like a glove. So far this build is going great, next I'm lacing up the original high flange Normandy hubs to some new rims. Wish me luck.

Jon
