i'm trying to restore an old schwinn and i have a question about decals. when i bought my chainguard, the schwinn logo and model logo were on there with a large clear plastic background. it was like a GIANT clear plastic sticker with the logo printed onto it. what is that called? are those the water slide decals? i really didn't like it because it was peeling at the edges.

what is the better decal method? vinyl? water slide? are there others? i'm really hesitant to buy the water slide decals because of what i saw.
