I wear dark, often black clothes, dark green bike, and dark green panniers. In the rain I do wear a yellow jacket, and I also wear at least one flasher. The only difference between the two situations is that I am a little scared when it gets dark and rainy. I am far from convinced that being afraid, so afraid you wear helmets mirrors, bright clothing and flashers, actually protects you. Either way the cars always see me.

Night time is different as a driver I often don't see bikes as soon as I would like to at night. Peddling all day though, is enough for me. When touring I am generally not out at night.
